“Who cares… about water? Nature does!”

17 June 2010. The European Water Partnership (EWP) invites its website visitors to vote for the best pictures in the Aquawareness competition “Who cares … about water? Nature does!”

The competition was launched by EWP last month and invited young Europeans to express their views on the linkages between water and biodiversity, and their interpretation of the title “Who cares … about water? Nature does!” Through their pictures, participants were asked to capture artistic photographs with intercultural messages.

The images were submitted by young people from all over Europe – from Ireland to Russia and from Portugal to Poland. They were exhibited during Green Week 2010, and are posted on the EWP website.

A professional jury will pronounce the best three winners based on the votes of the Green week participants and the EWP’s website visitors’ votes. The following criteria should be applied: photographer skills, creativity, originality, artistic realization of the title, and intercultural understanding.

The online voting is open until 30 June 2010.
