Pssst…! Once upon a time…
…there will be a fantastic festival in 2010!
2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity and we won’t let anybody forget it. Together with the Provincial Library Centre in Vrieselhof and the vzw De Dagen we have already spent several months brainstorming on how to make it a fantastic year. Let’s peek behind the curtain just a little bit…
- A book to read to yourself and read aloud: in cooperation with a number of well-known and less-well-known authors and illustrators we are working to create a unique book of several species for children aged from 4 to 12. We don’t want to give away too much about the content just yet, but brace yourselves for a number of hard-hitting animal stories…
- Major public celebration on 22 May 2010: on the Day of Biodiversity we are planning an unbelievable festival in and around the Provincial Nature and Landscape House in Zoersel. During this busy afternoon the species book will be officially launched and we want to really put it on the map! You can expect readings by authors, performances by duo’s of an actor and a musician, workshops by illustrators and others, games, walks in the park,…
- Festival in the library! We won’t be stopping the celebrations on 22 May. After the public festival, local authorities have the opportunity to invite a musician and an actor along to their library. They will perform for half and hour for up to thirty children. All children who take part in the activity will be given a species book.
