I will visit three national parks in the coming year. In addition, I will regularly take care of my favourite place in nature

I will only buy support Organic and Local farmers that do not use pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. Our food should be harvested from ecosystems that support a diversity of life and provide multiple yields. Conventional agro businesses are the number 1 destroyers of human life, and companies like Monsanto should be Jailed for crimes against humanity.

I, the undersigned, pledge to undertake the following steps as my contribution towards biodiversity:

I will replace at least two light bulbs by energy saving lamps, and always turn off the light in empty rooms. In addition, I will lower the thermostat in winter.

I will choose native plants that attract wildlife in my garden. In addition, I will avoid pesticides and herbicides.

I will keep myself up-to-date about biodiversity and the environmental positions of government representatives.

I Lindsay, pledge to undertake the following steps as my contribution towards biodiversity:

I will leave the car at home and take other means of transportation for at least one day a week. In addition, I will avoid any airtravel for distances less than 500km.

I will ask one organisation I work or volunteer for to join Countdown 2010.

I study conservation and will make an utmost effort to get as many of my collegues and friends to sign up for the countdown to 2010, and there with abide and commit to all the above mentioned topics of the plegde!

This is an awesome effort! Everyone should make an effort and pladge for our planet!
