Have your say on 2010!
26 January 2009. The 2010 BIP Secretariat is currently carrying out a User Needs Survey and we would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete it. The Survey examines the background and interests of potential users of 2010 BIP outputs, and their preferences for possible 2010 BIP outputs. The Survey is available in all six UN languages at this link: 2010 BIP User Needs Survey, and will be open until Friday, 27 February 2009. Take part in the Survey!
The 2010 Biodiversity Indicators Partnership, which was launched in July 2007, brings together over 40 organisations and a suite of biodiversity indicators, allowing for a more comprehensive and consistent monitoring and assessment of global biodiversity, with a view to measuring progress towards the CBD’s target to reduce the rate of biodiversity loss by 2010. The Partnership coordinates and supports the regular delivery of biodiversity indicators into a range of decision-making processes, with a particular focus on this 2010 target. In addition, the Partnership links biodiversity initiatives at national, regional, and global scales, and will contribute information to a number of international mechanisms and initiatives.
