top > News > 30 January 08

Are you passionate about the environment?
Do you want to make a difference in what you do?

With Countdown 2010 you can. Biodiversity is at the heart of our activities, and more than 500 partners from around the world work with us to halt the loss of biodiversity over the coming years. Hosted by the World Conservation Union’s Regional Office for Europe, the initiative reaches out to governments and local authorities, non-governmental organizations and private businesses.

In 2008, biodiversity will be high on the political agenda, with events such as the upcoming CBD Conference of Parties (Bonn, May 2008) and the World Conservation Congress (Barcelona, Oct 2008).
