It is Earth Day!

22 April 2010. Last year, at the initiative of the Government of Bolivia, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted International Mother Earth Day on 22 April as an official observance of the United Nations. Its adoption recognizes humanity’s common interest in the protection of the planet and its environment and the development of Earth Day as the largest secular civic event in the world.
