National youth conference on biodiversity held in Ghana

9 June 2010, Accra (Ghana). To celebrate World Environment Day on 5 June, Hero Productions organized the 2010 National Youth Conference on Biodiversity in Accra, Ghana.

The 2010 National Youth Conference on Biodiversity focused on how to transform environmental challenges into sustainable development opportunities. Besides discussions on vital environmental issues such as biodiversity conservation, the conference also included an exchange of experiences among participants on the implementation of coherent strategies to engage people in confronting environmental challenges in Ghana.

The event was attended by more than 150 children from five internationally recognized youth organizations, namely, the Head of State Award Scheme (HOSA), Junior Chamber International (JCI), Ghana Girl Guides Association, Scout Association of Ghana, and the National Cadet Corp Ghana.
