Partners' Assembly

> 1 March 07

The Countdown 2010 Partners Assembly will take place on

Monday, 11 June 2007 – 9:30 – 17:00
At the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Rue Vautier 29, Brussels

This annual meeting of all partners of the Countdown 2010 initiative is an excellent opportunity to

  • share experiences with other organisations working on the 2010 biodiversity target;
  • create links and develop projects with other partners in your field; and
  • define the general direction of Countdown 2010 as a movement to save biodiversity by 2010.

As you can see from the attached draft agenda, the assembly will also feature elections for the Countdown 2010 Advisory Board. If you consider to propose your candidature, we would advise you to get in touch with Sebastian Winkler.

In the days following the partners assembly, the European Commission will hold the Green Week “Past lessons – Future challenges” in Brussels. This four-day conference and exhibition on the European Environment provides a unique opportunity for debate, exchange of experience and best practice among non-governmental organisations, businesses, various levels of government and the public. To register, please go to http://greenweek.europa.eu.

Please confirm your participation in the Partners Assembly before Friday, 18th May 2007 by returning the registration form. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
