CI-Shanshui Center for Nature and Society (CI-Shanshui) is the official Chinese affiliate group of Conservation International (CI).

Conservation International, established in 1987, applies innovations in science, economics, policy and community participation to protect the Earth’s richest regions of plant and animal diversity in the biodiversity hotspots, high-biodiversity wilderness areas and key marine ecosystems. With headquarters in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, CI works in more than 40 countries on four continents.

CI opened its China Office in 2002, and has formally registered to operate under CI-Shanshui. Currently, it has four offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Kunming and Lhasa.
