Wild China Film is a professional studio focused on capturing images of China’s endemic wildlife. It was established in 2002 by the husband and wife team of well-known Chinese wildlife photographer and environmental activist Prof. Xi Zhinong and Shi Lihong. Wild China’s mission is, through capturing and publicising images, to show people China’s wildlife and help them understand its natural conditions. Through our work, we hope that the unique and moving charisma of China’s wildlife can reach and move our viewers. We aim to encourage within people a passion for nature and the desire to help protect China’s critically endangered ecology. To achieve this goal, Prof. Xi’s team of professional photographers spend year after year scaling mountains and crossing streams to film in every part of the country. Our photographs have been published in many magazines and journals at home and abroad, including the US National Geographic. At the same time as promoting environmental protection through the sale of Wild China works, we actively participate in and hold a variety of exhibitions, publicity campaigns, and exchange activities to promote environmental protection concepts. In addition, we hold photography training courses to promote Chinese wildlife photography. We are fully committed to using a range of means to make our beliefs a reality: use images to protect nature.
