Action for Protection of Wild Animals (APOWA)


APOWA (Action for Protection of Wild Animals) is committed to promote and support biodiversity trough utilising the Karuna Club movement currently running in number of schools in India. Further it will establish more clubs, especially in the schools of coastal districts, and promote biodiversity conservation, animal and wildlife welfare.

Mangrove Action Day in India 4 August 2009, Orissa (India). On the occasion of the International Mangrove Action Day on 26 July, Action for Protection of Wild Animals (APOWA) organized a poster and photo exhibition at Sivananda Sishu Mandir at Rajanagar, Orissa.
